| Brought up in the church I was taught to play bass from the age of 12 for church services and mission groups but a few years on my playing also extended to theatre work playing for productions such as ‘little shop of horrors’ and ‘Return to the Forbidden Planet’ as part of the ‘inyerface’ theatre company. For the last 3 years I have played many of the music bars around Sheffield including the Boardwalk and the Fez Club in the rock band Mortimer. In 2004/5 I studied at the Nexus Academy of Music Ministry in Coventry learning a variety of different styles, basslines, theory, technique and more. Whilst there I worked with several different musicians and bands and recorded with a top Producer from London. Since then I have been part of the bands ‘Octcry’ and ‘Jonah’ based in Sheffield. |
